hey !! i just finished my cat ears =) they're so awesome. and i bought a pair of black gloves (elbow-length) from prettywomanandwilliam 'coz i felt a bit bad that the lady/gentleman was so sweet in giving me so much pvc for the ears. she even sold me the gloves for 20 bucks (original price 32) 'coz the pair i wanted that was 16 was brown and they didn't hav black ones. i think she likes me *blush*

anyhoo, adit's going as a gorilla. they were so thrilled because he was such a good one. gorilla i mean. it's a kick ass costume. many photos will be taken =))

to answer the tag-board questions:

as for staff discount..only after working at myer 3 months will i get a card. however, once i start working, i can get 25% all black and white clothing 'coz that's their uniform.

hey !! i won't be going back to singapore this year, because i got a job at myer !! this summer i'll be department store chick =)) if anybody wants to visit me in perth however...

also, the t-square ball is this friday and my costume is pretty much coming together !! i've got my "jumpsuit" .. a belt i borrowed from weiching (girl in my studio), boots from cally's sister (that's catherine !! tho you probably will never read this blog) or is it katherine..also, i went to prettywomenandwilliam to look for a whip, gloves and ears..but they don't separate the costumes, so i guess i'll have to sew my own cat ears..the best part was that the man (woman) - let us refer to her as a woman because i think that's what she wants to be - was sooo sweet !! she gave me *free* pvc to sew the ears !! =) isn't that lovely ?? now all i need is a whip. does anybody have one ?? whip..anybody ??

other than that, nothing exciting. my break is coming up soon, but it's a non-teaching week so it means we have a motherload of work to do. ah well..

computing is due after that which will be a royal pain in the ass 'coz we don't go well with them. *stabs autocad* it's true that the computer is your friend, your saviour and the bane of your life all at once..

today we went to the anatomy department !! it was soooo cool..we went on a tour through the "bowels" as part of research for our memorial to organ and body donors. it was orrrrrsome maaaaiiite..

we walked through to where they bring the bodies in, and once they enter they're given a number. and the embalming room rocks !! and i saw so much cool stuff..like little babies in formaldehyde, and old men and women in formaldehyde with the backs of their heads sliced off to reveal their brains..and still-born chimpanzee. and i touched a plastinated foot !! it was soo cool !! i want to be plastinated. and they had the most awesome thing..head slices !!

they used a bandsaw (yes, a very *clean* bandsaw. not like our workshop one) to make about 10-15 slices through someone's head with all brains and bits still intact, then they cured it and let it set in some epoxy resin. head coasters !! what a wicked conversation starter.. your guests would be all: "hey, i really like your.. *aaaargh* !!"
